HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR COLD SORE OR FEVER BLISTERS

Cold sores — also called fever blisters — are a common viral infection. They are tiny, fluid-filled blisters on and around your lips. These blisters are often grouped together in patches. After the blisters break, a crust forms over the resulting sore. Cold sores usually heal in two to four weeks without leaving a scar.

Cold sores spread from person to person by close contact, such as kissing. They're caused by a herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) closely related to the one that causes genital herpes (HSV-2). Both of these viruses can affect your mouth or genitals and can be spread by oral sex. Cold sores are contagious even if you don't see the sores.

Symptoms -- A cold sore usually passes through several stages:

Tingling and itching.Many people feel an itching, burning or tingling sensation around their lips for a day or so before a small, hard, painful spot appears and blisters erupt.

Blisters. Small fluid-filled blisters typically break out along the border where the outside edge of the lips meets the skin of the face. Cold sores can also occur around the nose or on the cheeks.

Oozing and crusting. The small blisters may merge and then burst, leaving shallow open sores that will ooze fluid and then crust over.

APIS MEL 30- Small pustules with burning, smarting , stinging pain. Worse from warm. Better from cold application

HEPAR SULPH 200- Very sensitive to touch. Burning stinging , easily bleeding

NATRUM MUR 200- Large blister on lower lip, which is swollen and burns

NITRIC ACID 200- Bleeding gums. Black  pores on face

RHUS TOXICODENDRN 30- With itching , burning, tingling pain. Fever. It promotes crusting  of the sores and dries it up

DULCAMARA 200-It is helpful for cold sores that are aggravated by cold, rainy weather and when a person is feeling damp and chilly, coming down with a cold or around menstruation. It is effective against sores on face and genitals. It relieves burning and itching , works on blistering sores that have formed a yellowish crust, helps bleeding sore ans reduces inflammation

SEPIA 200- It is good for sores around lips, mouth, nose and nasal areas on sores that have blistered and oozes fluid. Sepia is especially effective on people who are lethargic and in women during pregnancy, during menstruation or during menopause

HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR FEVER

A fever is a temporary increase in your body temperature, often due to an illness. Having a fever is a sign that something out of the ordinary is going on in your body.

For an adult, a fever may be uncomfortable, but usually isn't a cause for concern unless it reaches 103 F (39.4 C) or higher. For infants and toddlers, a slightly elevated temperature may indicate a serious infection.

Fevers generally go away within a few days. A number of over-the-counter medications lower a fever, but sometimes it's better left untreated. Fever seems to play a key role in helping your body fight off a number of infections.

Causes-- Fever occurs when an area in your brain called the hypothalamus  also known as your body's "thermostat" — shifts the set point of your normal body temperature upward. When this happens, you may feel chilled and add layers of clothing or wrap up in a blanket, or you may shiver to generate more body heat, eventually resulting in an elevated body temperature.

Normal body temperature varies throughout the day — it's lower in the morning and higher in the late afternoon and evening. Although most people consider 98.6 F (37 C) normal, your body temperature can vary by a degree or more — from about 97 F (36.1 C) to 99 F (37.2 C) — and still be considered normal. Factors such as your menstrual cycle or heavy exercise can affect your temperature.

Fever or elevated body temperature might be caused by:

·         A virus

·         A bacterial infection

·         Heat exhaustion

·         Extreme sunburn

·         Certain inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis — inflammation of the lining of your joints (synovium)

·         A malignant tumor

·         Some medications, such as antibiotics and drugs used to treat high blood pressure or seizures

·         Some immunizations, such as the diphtheria, tetanus and acellular pertussis (DTaP) or pneumococcal vaccine

Sometimes the cause of a fever can't be identified. If you have a temperature of 101 F (38.3 C) or higher for more than three weeks and your doctor isn't able to find the cause after extensive evaluation, the diagnosis may be fever of unknown origin.

Symptoms-- You have a fever when your temperature rises above its normal range. What's normal for you may be a little higher or lower than the average normal temperature of 98.6 F (37 C).

Depending on what's causing your fever, additional fever signs and symptoms may include:

·         Sweating

·         Shivering

·         Headache

·         Muscle aches

·         Loss of appetite

·         Dehydration

·         General weakness

High fevers between 103 F (39.4 C) and 106 F (41.1 C) may cause:

·         Hallucinations

·         Confusion

·         Irritability

·         Convulsions

·         Dehydration

Complications- Complications of a fever may include:

·         Severe dehydration

·         Hallucinations

·         Fever-induced seizure (febrile seizure), in a small number of children ages 6 months to 5 years

HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES

ACONITUM NAPELLUS 30-Aconitum napellus should be considered during the first stage of fever. Aconite is prescribed for simple fever that occurs during very hot weather or very cold weather. It occurs when sudden exposure to cold winds.  The fever is accompanied by extreme restlessness and anxiety. The patient feels an increased thirst for cold water and the body aches are intolerable. There is high temperature and the skin of Aconite patient becomes red, hot and shinning .

BELLADONNA 200-Belladonna is an effective remedy for fever and it is prescribed when high temperature is present. Feet icy cold  and the upper body has steaming hot. Belladonna is prescribed when fever occurs due to heat of sun.Fever without thirst.

FERRUM PHOS 6X- Ferrum phos is effective in all stages of fever. It stands between ACONITE and BELLADONNA . Face is flushed. Pulse soft. There is no restlessness

BRYONIA ALBA 30-Bryonia alb is prescribed when fever occurs with body ache. Bryonia .The patient always   wants to lie down still to get relief and slight motion worsens his or her condition. The patient feels chill with external coldness. The pulse of the patient is full , hard, tense and quick. There is also an increased thirst for cold water in large quantities  and dryness of mouth.There is dry cough with stitching pain in chest. Easy , profuse perspiration occurs. Constipation occurs along with fever.

GELSEMIUM 1X-Dizziness , drowsiness , weakness are the key symptoms of Gelsemium in fever. Even there is a tendency to faint. The patient experiences much muscular soreness. Along with fever there is severe headache. The patient feels chilliness up and down the back.There is an absence of thirst in most cases.

RHUS TOXICODENDRON 200--Rhus Tox is one of the top remedies for fever with extreme body aches, leading to restlessness. The patient wants to remain in motion to get relief. Rhus Tox is prescribed for  fever as a result of getting wet in rain.Thirst is present in fever cases. There is accumulation of dead skin scales on the lips.

BAPTISIA TICTORIA Q- Baptisia tic . is considered a specific for all types of fevers. It will abort fever.

NUX VOMICA 30-Nux vomica is prescribed in fever when gastric symptoms predominate.  Fever with extreme chilliness and shivering. The person wants to remain covered in all stages of fever.
